[tri-med] Update on Jackson

Hi all!
 
We did the bronchoscopy and they didn't find anything except evidence of 
reflux.  We'll continue on the Prevacid.  I asked about the calcium absorbtion 
issue and was told that most of the studies done were on old ladies in nursing 
homes who don't get enough vitamin D or sun exposure.  They think it's OK for 
short term use for J.
 
The general theory though, is that he just need to grow and get that airway 
bigger.  There's been no more talk about an airway reconstruction, which I'm 
very relieved about.
 
J did have a really hard time recovering after the procedure.  They gave him a 
racemic epi and some IV steroids.  They almost kept us overnight, but in the 
end they decided we could go since we live so close to the hospital and the 
meds had really improved his breathing.  I'm so glad that's over!
