He knows that you can't ask other students for help during a test and he
should be held accountable for his actions.
The teacher was not in the library with the students taking the test so
maybe Alex would have approached the teacher......maybe.
This marking period has been heavy on tests and light on homework. Test +
Alex = disaster, no matter how hard we try.
I think Alex went into panic mode during the test knowing that graduation in
June is riding on this class and that he already had an E, and he made some
poor choices.
Since talking with Alex's case load teacher this am (I have a call into the
Econ teacher as well), Alex has been trying to be independant. However, the
big downside is that he's not been bustin' his butt to on the class work or
seeking out help. He's just floating along.
And like a typical teen, he's learned how to use his IEP accomodations to
his advantage which allow him to slack off but not get bit in the but
sometimes. {wee grin through tears}
Alex is VERY fortunate that the Econ teacher decided to not turn in this
cheating episode to the principal. He'd have been expelled immediately from
school.

Heart in throat time!!!!!!!

You go Tracy!!!!!!!!!!
I am SO glad that, esp given this fridgid weather we've been having, Cody
was all right at the end of his adventure.
Bet he had a grin on his face when they retrieved him.

teachers. Things will >work out for Alex just keep believing that.
We seem to find ways to make thing work for the most part.
One scenario is that Alex may have to retake Econ next sememster, while also
taking Government (talk about a bite in the butt!!!!! They split those up
for a reason). He has enough credits that we could drop a class next
sememster and put him back into Econ.
I need to find out if there is a spec ed version of this class. Not because
it would be easier but because he might come out of it with a better
knowledge of the subject matter....which is the point of taking the class.
