[tri-med] Triple Chromosomes have the strongest will to survive.

I was working at my desk this afternoon when Alex came in and asked me about
the jar of apple sauce on the shelf above my desk. He wanted to know why we
didn't eat it. I told him that it was a jar of special apple sauce, sent to me
years ago by a list member and then read him the label. I thought some of our
new mums and dads would also appreciate me walking down memory lane.
The jar says that it is Solana Gold Organic Gravenstein Apple Sauce. And then
it goes on to say

"Even Apple Orchards Have Superstars
The Gravenstein glamour girl brought fame to Sonoma County way before wine.
What makes the Grav such a star? Horticulturists say its triple chromosome has
the strongest will to survive of any apple. Our Gravs, many 100 years old with
30 foot canopies, are grown in Sonoma County's hot dry climate. We purposely
don't irrigate. Forcing the trees to seek moisture build character, crunch and
intensifies aroma and flavour.
Just wanted you to know, you're having a star over for dinner."

I can relate a lot to that jar of apples and I bet you can too..........

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.
