[tri-med] Re: Touch-screen laptop computer

I don't know where you live but in Texas the Dynavox is paid for by the Dept of
Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  If the speech therapist doesn't want to help you,
you can always ask the OT.  Either one can fill out the paperwork.  If you look
on the website, you will see that they also have trainings on programming the
Dynavox.  I'm sure I will need to go to several of those.

How does Taylor find his dynavox? Does he use it much? I have had one on trial
for my son but the speech therapist said she felt he was too young yet and to
stick with the signing but I am not too sure.

getting one for Annette.  There are different ways a person can use this
communicaiton device - eye gaze, infrared facilitated by head movement, auditory
relay, and visual switch.  There is a website for the Dynavox.  Has anyone
used one of these with their kids?  How did it work?
