My daughter with Down syndrome will stay in her crib until she can climb out. Oh my gosh, she would be into everything if not. The other day when I was on the phone she came up to me twice and pulled my hair...JUST to get me off of the phone. When that didn't work, she ran to the bathroom and stood by the toilet..with that look in her face of...."Cmon Mom..you'd better give ME attention NOW or I'm gonna splash around in here"!! YUCK! She know's the reaction Mama gives her with the toilet...errr..should I say attention I give her? =) Smart girl! Honestly, If a child is mobile. I say keep em safe in a crib as long as possible. I don't know what he heck I'm gonna do when she can roam the house during the night? Everything will be upside down in the morning. Maybe a gate at the door way? She shares a room with Bri (t9p, age 18).....I can just see the sleepless nights now. And Bri is not very good at helping her get back to sleep. She says..."Shhh...got to sleep" over and over and over and over....like that is going to work?? =) Happy Holidays All!!!!
