That is something that SOFT and Dr Carey have been working on for many years
and it has happened. Smiths was changed about 10 years ago to essentially
"some children do survive discuss care with the parent it should be a joint
decision"

The problem is that these texts are kept ad infinitum in medical libraries
and not automatically updated with each new edition. Then of course they
have to actually read them again - and they don't because they already
"know".

It's an incredibly complex issue with no simple solution. In my opinion
keeping the profile of our kids high is a huge step towards education, of
doctors and parents alike. Its one thing that I love about SOFT - their
conferences are held in a different state every year and with the clinics
doctors receive a huge education.

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.
