When Rebecca was born, I was obviously anxious to prevent any infection
as far as she was concerned...so Daniel (who was then 16months old) was
up to date on all his vaccines..he has had MMR, Chicken Pox, Hib, Polio,
TB, and one other, whose name escapes me...Only Chicken Pox and the MMR
are voluntary...kids can get the Measles only vaccine....BUT, because I
had a scare with German Measles (Rubella) when I was pregnant with
Rebecca,, I would rather prevent a disease that could have devastating
effects for someone else....to say again, where I live, children are
dying daily because of Measles......

I had Chicken Pox at 24.  I was absolutely miserable.  Very high fever
and just laid on the couch for a week. I don't recommend that! My mom
said I had a super mild case at 3-4 years old.=20
