I contracted the Mumps, they were only on one side. Missed a week of school
(grade 3). Went back to school 1 day. Then got them on the other side.

It was never an issue for us, both kids had the chicken pox before the
vaccine came out. Not sure what I'd have done with a 'new' vaccination
though--'hey, it came out on the market this month'--that makes me leery.

And before they were 'mandatory'/a part of the regular immunization schedule
they both had the Hepatitis Vac.
I got inoculated  for that one in the work place so Jim's the only one not
immunized with that one.
