Molly was 6 when she contracted them in kindergarten. I was preg for her
when Alex had them, she was exposed a few times prior to that but they never
took. Maybe some natural immunity early on? However, she had an even nastier
case than Alex did-- actually IN her nose, ears, private parts (ouch!) and
mouth. Spent 4 nights up with a screaming/crying child.

Jenny had them and then got a secondary impetigo and was off school for 3 
weeks she was so ill, then Jono got them and he had them from head to foot 
and in all the same places as molly plus in his eyes!!!  then Jesse had a 
fairly mild case but as Sue says why wouldn't you want to save your child 
from all that pain and suffering I can tell you if the vaccine had been 
around when my kids were little they would have got that one too!!!

Don't worry about the world coming to an end tomorrow it's already tomorrow
