>- me I can never remember having a cold sore in my life. Logic says that I >have but that my immune system was such that it fought it off. Same here... >My step daughter on the other hand only had to see someone who had a cold >sore and she would break out badly. And with me and my sister you can substitute "poison oak" for the cold sore in that sentence. I always said I had it naturally in my system, but I've had doctors tell me this is "impossible". Still, all we had to do was see the bushes out the car window, a cold chill would go down our spines, and we would break out in a rash. In fact, I had poison oak so often as a child that I didn't get my small pox shot until I enter nursing school (after they'd stopped routinely giving them to the public). Every time they came to the school for a clinic (yep folks they use to have clinics at the public schools, and immunize us all for free), I had poison oak, so they wouldn't give me the small pox immunization. >The same goes for measles - there are loads of kids out there who will get >over measles quite easily. And then there's Fawna who came down with pneumonia with her measles and almost died....but I probably had poison oak too!!!
