That's a "maybe"...

I was spitting nails when I discovered my very self center
neighbor had purposedfully sent her chicken pox exposed
kids out to play with the entire cul-de-sac of kids, including
my older two (and this was before immunizations for it).
Philina was 18 months old at the time, and one continuous
running nose and ears.  And she sure had a whoppin' ugly
lookin' case of chicken pox, but she survived them just fine,
(no thanks to Ms Candy).
