I had no idea chicken pox could be that dangerous. We did get Elanor's
chicken pox shot, but Arwen had it before we got her shots, and we opted not
to get hers. With the flu shot, it is a good thing for those of us with
compromised immune systems and caregivers, plus babies and the elderly, but
it just irritates me that healthy people in their 20's and 30's who get the
flu shot just because it's there and their insurance covers it. Again, I'm
all for the vaccines for those who need it, but it seems as if people don't
take the time to inform themselves, and the public programs just want
everyone to do what they say, no questions asked.
Jennifer, mom to Arwen, 7; Elanor (t18), 5; caregiver to Joe (cerebral palsy
& spastic displaysia), 26 & Eric (cerebral palsy & seizure disorder), 19;
and wife to Andrew; Boise, Idaho
