Cool!
Around here the last few years it's become something quite popular, the
Homecoming King's are disabled, have MR (unknown diagnosis), fatal diseases
etc. This year alone 2 neighboring communities have done that.
One young man with leukemia passed away just 1 week after being named
Homecoming king.
Molly came home in tears after volunteering last week at College Night for
NHS because some of the Linden students were coming in wearing black with
red armbands, she asked if it had something to do with Eli and sadly it did.
Apparently his story made national news as well.
Interestingly.........it's only the challenged guys who are getting the
Homecoming King vote, not been a single Queen voted in who's not the
pretty/popular gal choice. Beauty queen social commentary????
Last year our schools Homecoming King was a student recovering from TBI from
an auto accident.
