really like to do sometimes but it's just too much sometimes...and when =
the=20
kid is mobile and legally blind and with no sense of personal space or=20
safety...taking him places can be really tough...just easier not to :o( =
Call
me lazy but just getting silly boy on the bus in the morning hurts me=20
physically.>>>>>
so true, for me it's the lifting........ Bec weighs about 70
lbs, she does not help or hold on when you pick her up, so its lift her =
from
where she is into her chair, take the chair out to the car, lift her =
into
the van, lift the chair into the back of the van it weights about 40lbs =
and
does not fold. All the lifting is repeated when we get to where we are =
going
and repeated again to go home and again when we get home. Next its is it
over a meal, do I bring all the meds and formula and feeding pump ect or
wait till we get home? And if I feed her where will I change her? =
Those
baby change tables are not ment for someone who is 4'4" so we place a =
poise
pad in her diaper and have one of those incontinent pads in her chair =
and
hope we can be home before she wets through. Its not like we don't go =
out
but we rarely do spur of the moment stuff anymore, its all planned and
packed for.
>>>>><<And if you turn down an invitation often enough...pretty soon =
they
stop=20
inviting you...they get tired of hearing your "excuses"...even if they =
ARE=20
valid ones. Sure we invite them here...but that can be hard for them to =
do=20
too...so we don't have alot of company....<<<<<<<
So true, our most frequent company is my inlaws
>>>We're sooooo looking foward to Pam and Kira coming...but ask =
Pam...I'm
still=20
worried about perceptions, impressions, etc...Trying not to worry about =
the=20
condition or our house...and hoping they won't mind getting climbed on=20
rasberried on and dragged all over the house :o<e<<<<<
for me it's the fact that Rebecca likes to play on the floor, she does =
not
want to sit in her W/C all the time, and I am sure people wonder about =
that
also our living room is taken over by equipment, the dinning room table
moved to the basement when we got the stander.
