[tri-med] THANK YOU

I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone on this list. Not only do I get
support knowing we are not alone out there, I get lots of info no one else
(read: non-tri family) seems to know.
Even though Audrey almost died from an RSV infection (went Full Code and put on
ventilator) in November, I had to ask my doctor about getting her the RSV
shots...

When she went full code, they told me it was probably caused by a seizure. She
was put on Phenobarbital. After reading Philina's story, I inquired about the
sense behind that, since Audrey had never before or after shown any signs of
seizure activity. She will be completely weaned in a few days. She is less
tired, more alert and has made significant strides in development since weaning
began. And, they never told us that it could contribute to congestive heart
failure (which we constantly battle anyway!).

Just found out today about the Katie Becket waiver (have to go inquire about
that). We were told we didn't qualify for disability because of income...

Would not have know about possible malrotation of Audrey's bowels before
reading posts. Had to ask doctor to get a referral. Got tested Monday (she
does have a malrotation, but does not seem to be the source of discomfort or
failure to thrive... ).

Found out about Lacrilube for our little possessed child (looks possessed when
she sleeps with her eyes open and rolled back!) Ophthalmologist agreed it was
a good idea.

I'm sure there are more examples, just can't think of them at the moment!

I just can't tell you guys how much we appreciate this board and how blessed we
feel to be a part of such a wonderful, caring group.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
