I posted about this once awhile ago. Mostly asking if
anyone else had used this. And Cindy, I sent you an
email that had some info. in it. Anyway, it is a
small unit that sends low electrical impulses to
targeted muscle groups during sleep. The impulses are
so low they don't even cause muscle contractions. I
had it on me yesterday and it just feels kinda tingly
or ticklish, actually after a while I think it would
feel good. It strengthens muscles and builds muscle
mass. I guess you can use it at any age. It was
originally used for kids with c.p., but they found
they get even better, quicker results with kids with
low muscle tone because they are not having to "fight"
the spasticity also. It is not new, our therapist has
been using it for 12 yrs. Athletes us it all the time
for sports injuries. But not all therapists use it, I
believe they have to be trained to use it and she is
the only one at the particular place that Morgan goes
that does it. BTW, first night down, he used it for 8
1/2 hrs. and didn't wake up once during the night. I
think he likes it.
