I think it takes alot of effort, and like the rest of us, Bec prefers the
easy way :0)

>>>>>When did Rebecca learn to grasp and play with toys? <<<<<

gosh that was so long ago, let me try and remember, when she was one she did
not care for toys at all, not much at 2 either, I think it was after her
second birthday, now she has to have a toy to play with or she will reach
for anything she can, my purse, the electric wires.....she esp. seems to
love driving Mark mad by grabbing the wires to his play station :0)

>>>> When did
Rebecca start understanding you?<<<<<<

for a long time I am sure she could understand but to get her to nod or
shake her head we would ask questions, model the behaviour, ( nod for yes)
and give a reward, the one that worked well with bec was to bounce her on
your knee, ( she loved it) then stop and ask if she wanted more, model the
behaviour and wait for answer, she eventually got it. Rebecca will make
choices between two things, and can even play jokes on mommy by giving the
wrong answer, I know when she understands what I say and when she doesn't,
( she gets a real confused look on her face ) and the questions asked must
be very simple.
