not surprising at all- devon is a pretty smart guy. good sense of humour,
but he just knows when he needs to be serious!
i have noticed working with non-verbal/signing/limited verbal abilities
people that they just read environmental cues so much better than those of
us who can talk. they navigate their environment differently because they
need to. i bet devon just understands/knows how important things are and is
acting accordingly. like i said-the boy is very smart and i bet some people
fail to notice that about him because he can't verbalize his smarts as
easily as the rest of us chatty types.
one guy i work with, dimiti is totally non verbal, some signing and is
truly one of the funniest human beings i know. us able people just need to
learn to slow down and pay attention most days.
and penny- get this- today is kiras 6th birthday party. seems like just
yesterday she was two and a half and in florida!
hugs to devon (and the rest of the victor family too)
with love,
pam, darrell, kira and abbey and our angel tyler
