[tri-med] Re: So Cal

She's baaaaaacccckkkk....

Thanks everyone....especially Nan & Sherri for passing on
messages for me to my lists, and getting most of my mail
turned off. There was still 173 e-mails waiting for me
when I finally got back on line.....

This is the kind of experience when having an intercepted
natal Moon really comes in handy....

So, we did end up having to evacuate shortly after I wrote that
last e-mail. The Paradise Creek fire came over our back hillside,
and also down the grade out front, but across a major street from
us there. We went to Doug's sister's house for 3 days, and have
been camping out here the last couple of days without electricity.
Misplaced a couple of cats in the evacuating, made it out with 10
actually, but they may still show up too. Other then the cats, all
we lost was the weeds off our back hillside, and what food was in
the fridge. And I hadn't even been doing much shopping due to all
the major grocery stores being on strike here currently. All-in-all
we're feeling pretty fortunate. The city of Escondido didn't lose a
single house....Valley Center, Scripps Ranch & the now non existent
small town of Cuyamaca weren't as fortunate.

Miss P handled it all in stride. So far even her smoke allergy
hasn't caused her any problem. She was suppose to see her ENT
last Monday, but the roads were all closed down, as was most
businesses. There was no answer at the doctor's when I called
to cancel. But I'll be calling him early next week to reschedule
to take a look at what's going on in her funky sinuses from all
this smoke.

That's about all for now....reading archives to try and catch up.

Please Note: No trees were destroyed in the
sending of this contaminant free message.
But we do still have one oak tree smoking up on
the back hill though...........
