[tri-med] Re: Sleep Apnea

{Mieko uses a vapotherm machine for obstructive apnea. It blends high flow air
with oxygen to keep the airway open. They say it's much more comfortable than
BIPAP OR CPAP since it uses canulas instead of a mask or prongs.}
Nicholas used one the last time he was in the hospital. It kept him off the
vent. I was impressed with it. The hospital has had it for about a year now.

Vapotherm is now available for the home care setting.

Vapotherm has been used in hospitals throughout the country since 2000. In
April of 2003, the company received FDA approval for the distribution of
Vapotherm's 2000i Home Care System, the 2000h.

As the only device approved to deliver up to 40LPM of heated and humidified
breathing gases through a nasal cannula, Vapotherm provides breakthrough
benefits for patients and their care providers.
