All I can say is if your gut says there is a problem - then there is a
problem - go with your gut. There has to be other options and if there isnt
there should be.

When Alex started school I was only presented with the one option that
everyone else thought was appropriate. I didn't. We had a year from hell, I
fought it, and we now have as close to perfect as I can expect.

Key words are Health and Safety and acces to an appropriate and safe
education. If the room is chaotic with uncontrolled mobile children then
health and safety are big concerns. That alone is an arguement that will
make them sit up and pay attention.

I actually withdrew Alex for months on end while they dealt with my health
and safety concerns. I had my ped and GP on my side as well as an advocate,
thank goodness. And I ended up causing the principal and a teacher to be
transferred but I dont regret a moment of it. Alex has every right that
other children do and I will make sure he gets it.

I have not lost my mind - it's backed up on disk somewhere.
