>>From: Melanie <melanie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >>Does anyone have a child with retinoblastoma or other retinal abnormalities? << Melanie, I'm not sure if the diagnosis was accurate, but as an infant, Gabby was diagnosed with retinopathy _pigmentosa_ (http://aolsearch.aol.com/aol/redir?src=PTL&requestId=82610dfd9112ccb4&userQuery=retinopathy+pigmentosa&clickedItemURN=we boffers?invocationType=wo_more&query=retinopathy+pigmentosa&moduleId=weboffers _right.jsp.M&obUrl=null&obQuery=null&clickedItemDescription=slMoreWebOffers) . The physician that gave this diagnoses was a fellow with no personality to speak of. He gave no information about this disorder, no prognosis. (When I asked what this meant, he would only say that he could see black spots on her retina) As he left the room after his diagnoses, he tripped over Gabby's diaper bag. (Maybe he couldn't see too well). So far, Gabby has no apparent difficulty with her vision. He eyes are sensitive to bright light thought.
