For nearly 4.5 yrs we used suppositories on Alex almost daily. When things
were REALLY stuck I'd put on a fingercot (rubber glove for just a finger) or
use the rectal thermometer and use to K-Y Jelly to 'grease the shute'.
By 5 yrs of age Alex pretty much was able to pass feces on his own. Finally!
Because Alex was an oral eater and it took an hour or 2 to get a few ounces
of any liquid into him the oral remidies weren't useful to us. Couldn't get
enough of anything into him quickly enough.
