[tri-med] Re: Regarding constipation :-(

Hi Gary,
We use Miralax...1/2 tsp a day in the am...and I adjust it when new
meds (antibiotics enter into the mix)

Way back we use to do the fleet enema routine...but haven't done that
in a few years...but she always seems to cry so as she passed the hard
BM anyhow...

When we do get into a several day backup...I use the suppositories
...and all works out...with much less pain it seems....

Miralax , works well for us ....keeps things moving...I know some on
this list do much better with lots of water in the diet...I really
don't do a whole lot of added water...

We just get as much liquid in her with the formula...4-5 cans a day...
Alternating fiber and regular Pedisure...

Constipation is a constant issue so we monitor it carefully...
Never really have any problems till a new med is added and then the
adjusting of the miralax (up or down) needed till we are back on
track...
I have given 1 - 2 tsp. if needed...but not often....

I'm sure you'll get lots of info on this one...
Hope all works out....!!!!!!

Blessings,
ThereseAnn
