[tri-med] Re: Reflux meds?

>>>>Has anyone ever had an experience with Bethanechol for reflux. It seemed
to
make my daughters reflux worse and she cried after taking it almost like she
had colic. When I stop the drug she is much better. My GI specialist says
this is impossible and that he has never heard of anyone having this
reaction. <<<<,

anything is possible with our kids, but I have never heard of that drug,
Rebecca has taken in the past Zantac, prepulsid, and motillium, she is
presently on losec 10mg 3 a day and motillium 5 a day, she also had the
nissenfundalplycation and plyloaplasty done 5 yrs ago which really helped.
Rebecca is also totally g-tube fed.

>>>>Another question, Has anyone ever had a swallow study done? We've had an
upper GI study but now we are debating about the swallow study.<<<<

Rebecca has had a couple of swallow studies done ( to look for aspiration)
and a ph probe done. she still requires all her meds at high doses even
after the surgery ( has since she had the surgery) All our kids are
different, what works for one may not work for another.

Don't fight with dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup!
