hi Carolyn,
My son is a mouth breather as well. I was worried about his smelly breath and
thought he may have an infection but his dentist said it is probably due to
being a mouth breather and the fact that he doesn't swallow enough (as he
dribble like crazy) so doesn't clear his pallet enough. Does Ellie have smelly
breath as a mouth breather? My sons dentist hasn't mentioned receding gums but
has siad that my sons teeth look worn - now he has only recently started
grinding is teeth, but I have noticed that when his teeth came through they
looked small and worn. What do Ellies teeth look like?

Subject: [tri-med] Receding gums
Hi everyone
We visited the dentist recently and have been told that Ellie's gums have
receded quite significantly. Just wondered if anyone had any advice /
experience on this? The dentist mentioned that if Ellie has a low immune
system that could contribute to problems with gums. Also breathing through
the mouth (which Ellie does, she never breathes through her nose) could also
cause problems.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks
Carolyn
