[tri-med] Re: Rebecca's speech assessment

I was thinking the same thing . . . getting a private evaluation. I am taking
her to a new behavior psych person soon--I'm sure they will recommend anything
that will get her better means to communicate (surely part of her frustration.)
Maybe a Dr's note will give them a push. Then also, seeing a speech person .
. . I do have a "talk back" and "talk back III" that has never really been
used. I am going to get them out and try again at home with some PECS cards.
It's been over two years since I've tried at home.

fight the system and get them to let her
stay where she is, hopefully the assistive tech review will go well. I
think I am going to speak to Mark's private speech therapist and see if he
can assess for assistive tech as well and if not can her recommend someone.
Our insurance will pay for some therapy and maybe I can find someone who
will give Bec a shot at it.
