[tri-med] Re; Nestle Additions/Weight Gain-Holly

Hi Holly,

Thanks for the encouragement! Guilt does rear its ugly head, I think its a mom
thing, even more so for Genevieve and the chromosome issue. Should I? Shouldn't
I? But she comes home with me, it's my job to raise my kids, not the doctors. I
am just feeling pressed in this and I have received so many tips, meds and
ideas to try first and Gtube be the ultimate last resort if that. I have always
tried to keep mealtimes peaceful & will continue, as I won't force her to eat
and cause more issues to arise. Her therapists were all shocked because despite
being sick in November, she did gain 8 oz, just not enough.

Her geneticist is also a specialized pediattric development doctor, like
getting 2 for 1 price lol, and he is a very good doctor and I respect him and
what he has done for Genevieve so far. But this appt just blew me away....

Thanks Again Holly : ) Your words mean alot!!

the stress out of Morgan'sfeedings. And when I did, he became an all the time
good eater. If heisn't hungry I just don't feed him. You guys need to keep
the stresslevels low at feeding because your little ones will pick up on it. I
lookback on it now (that hindsight bug) and can't believe how easy Morgan
wasand how hard I made it on him and me. We only went to the pediatrician
forthe regular checkups and he saw a gastro. dr. every 3 mos., too. Hisweight
always went up and I have absolutely no explanation or advice togive on why he
gained so well. In his first year he went from 5 lbs. 7 oz.at birth to just
under 20 lbs. at 1 yr. His length increased from 17inches to 27 inches. So,
after this long post I am saying listen to Judeshe is so very right. Ask lots
of questions, I asked everybody about foodsto help gain weight and for oral
eating. I asked speechies, o.t.s,pediatrician, gastro. doc, dieticians
(plural, I asked every dietician Icame in contact with), other moms,
nurses. DO NOT feel guilty about thefeeding stuff and the weight stuff. You
are doing the best you can.The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their
