These are great ideas. I don't think I've seen any hanah andderson stores by us 
though. Do they have a website? I love to get some those hats you described.

i get her hats from hanah andderson (sp?). they have a nice little tie
strap. they are the bucket kind of hat so it shades the sun going in over
her glasses with clips.)

i also buy those little clip on battery fans with foam blades and we use
those to cool kam off. a bandana soaked in cool water around the back of
her neck or even soaking her hat in cool water cools kam right off.

she is outside all the time and has always had probs so we have become very
inventive. one of my fav inventions was a "stroller pareo". i bought a
piece of guauze (sp?) material and tied to the running stoller to shade her
legs when we went to cocoa beach. i think they are photos on her site but
she had to be under 2.
