Hi,
I haven't provided an update on Stehen in a long time - I'm actually going
to provide a more detailed update once we complete our Christmas letter.
But, I just wanted to let you all know that I still browse the e-mails even
though I haven't been participating in many of the discussions.
Stephen is doing very well. He turned 4 yrs old on October 5th. Physcially
he's in great shape - he continues to get a good report from all of the
doctors. In about 1 year we'll bring Stephen in to get his nose fixed up a
bit
- the plastic surgeon that repaired his lip and pallate will do the nose.
Stephen is doing quite well developmentally - his biggest delay is in speech.
He has been diagonosed with Dyspraxia which means that he knows what he wants
to say but he just can't put it into words. Stephen understands everything
we tell him. He's a joy and has a great personality - loves to be the center
of attention and has a great time playing with his siblings.
Which brings me to the other part of the update....
Stephen will soon be getting another sibling! My wife Elizabeth is expecting
and she is due sometime in late January. This baby wasn't really a surprise
in the true sense; however, Elizabeth had felt that the Good Lord was done
with us in terms of having children so we got rid of everthing we had with the
other children! This has been an exciting time visiting the consignment
stores! I'll keep you all posted as we get closer. Elizabeth is 47 years old
but this has been one of the easiest, if not the easiest, pregnancies for her
- we are very grateful for that. We chose not to have any in-utero tests
done; however, the baby seems to be healthly and is doing fine. We were sort
of
hoping for a girl but the ultrsound seems to indicate a boy - oh well,
another knuckle head!
We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and thanks for all the help that
we've received over the past 4 ½ years - it has really been a blessing for
Elizabeth and I.
Thanks
Gary (and Elizabeth) parents of Daniel (19), Michael (17), Joshua (15),
Rachel (13), John (11), Nathan (9), Esther (7) and Stephen (4 - T13 Mosaic
born
10/5/04), and one due in late January!
