[tri-med] Re: Question on Fevers

It is possible that the fevers are vaccine related.? I would suggest
researching vaccine injury sites or perhaps there is a yahoo group about
children who have had vaccine reactions.

? I do not have any other advice but I will say that sometimes I notice doctors
look at my child's diagnosis and almost assume their reaction or illness is a
result of their trisomy.? Sometimes our kids are just kids and they have the
same reaction to meds or vaccines or whatever, just like other kids.? Sometimes
the simple reasons are overlooked or mistreated because of the trisomy
diagnosis.

Subject: [tri-med] Question on Fevers

Hi All.
It has probably been about a year since I've been on the list. During that
time, we've moved from Florida to West Virginia. We're back set up on the
internet again and I wanted to say hello again and ask for some advice.

Our daughter, Maiya, has T8M and is now ~21months old. Her latest issues
are fevers that come every few weeks or so without any other symptoms. They
usually range from 103-106 degrees. We started doing CBCs during these
episodes and realized that her numbers are out of line, especially her white
blood count which is sky high (30-40,000). They have not been able to
identify the source of infection or illness to date. She is now being seen
regularly by a hematologist / oncologist to keep an eye out for leukemia.

Our hematologist / oncologist encouraged me to seek info from other parents
on these fevers. Has anyone else experienced fevers that come back
regularly without other symptoms? If so, I'd love to learn more about
them. I've seen some posts elsewhere where the fevers eventually led into
leukemia and other posts where the children eventually outgrew them. It is
odd to me that the fevers first started just a few days after her 1 year
vaccines and have been coming back ever since. Does anyone else notice
severe reactions to vaccines?

Thanks for any info you may have.

Callie
