Now caramels I could handle :-) I actually don't really like peanuts all
that much - almonds, cashews (yummmmmmm my favourite) or macadamias are
another story LOL
Of course chocolate would be even better - do chocolate coated caramels
count? LOL

Oh Amen to that!!
Alex was having apneas so frequently during that 12 months I was breast
feeding that we were not game to put him down without someone watching him.
We had no monitor (and no one would give us one because it would make us
worry...) so Alex was in someones arms or on someones chest 24 hours a day.

I would pump for an hour, feed for an hour, clean everything up and try and
sleep for an hour (with Alex on my chest) then start all over again. If I
hadn't been living with my mother and sister that first 3 months I would
never have been able to do it.

The other thing I forgot to mention that I believed help keep my milk going
was to put Alex to the breast every feed even though I knew he couldn't
latch (his mouth was so small he couldn't even get my nipple IN his mouth).
I would also nurse friends babies (with their permission of course!!). I
don't know if thats a good practice or not - but I am grateful to friends
who let me. Pumps are great, and I also couldn't have done it without one,
but its not the same as having a baby nurse.

I have not lost my mind - it's backed up on disk somewhere.
