[tri-med] Re: Quad screen results positive

I just read Irene's response and she's right on the nose. The quad
test is SO iffy. With Keren, we got it after the 20 wk ultrasound
because of anomalies seen. I was going to skip it before that point.
Then, the results of that test showed high possibility of Down's and
nothing for T18 (which, of course, is what Keren turned out to be). We
decided to skip the amnio (we didn't dare risk a miscarriage) and take
what God gave us. He gave us Keren--not the dream baby we'd originally
hoped for, but definitely a blessing (which I know you feel about
Lauren!) I think in future pregnancies I'm with Irene--I'll skip the
quad test and definitely not do the amnio. However, I don't mind
checking out the ultrasounds--it seems like they show more than
anything else!
Praying for peace for you--I know this has to be a major blow....
