Maybe, if by dork you mean you over thunk it, and tried to tie it
to the Greek Psy(che) (Soul or Mind, also a certain maiden made
immortal in Greek mythology), instead of the Greek Selene (Moon
Goddess).  Tying it to the Moon seems a stretch, until you connect
the dots that it's a chemical element used in photoelectric devises,
because it conducts electricity, but the amount conducted varies
with the intensity of light.  And now you know the rest of the story!
