Hi Lori...I have had a bit of experience with psuedomona. My 22 y/o daughter
(adopted) was a battered infant and severly neglected in her early months.
She had been burned and also had broken bones. The infection destroyed the
supporting cartiledge in her nose and did some damage to the boney structure
of her face. It also destroyed one of her ribs and probably caused some
damage to some of her inner ear. Her hearing is fine, but she has had serious
Sensory Integration issues over her life. Be very careful and if you think it
is happening again, please call the doc and do not let anything go. Kaila had
the green stuff draining from her ears until she was a year old and the
infection had started when she was three months old. She is fine now and even
though she has had many surgeries she has been healthy. One time she wanted
to have a high pierciing in ear in the hard cartiledge and that did get
infected. The doc was very concerned and put her on antibiotic (Cipro) right
away and told her no more piercing. He also said it was because she has had
so many plastic/reconstructive surgeries that she would be prone to such
infections.
