[tri-med] Re: Pregnancy Question

Not necessarily mosaic.  We are waiting for the full karotype results.  They
said that since the amnio was done so late in the pregnancy that the other 20
cells probably just 'did not grow', but were most likely still full T18.  They
said we would need the full karotype to know for sure (FISH is not completely
reliable).

Well, on the 'bright side' your diagnosis is now mosaic t-18 and that
GENERALLY makes the medical professionals take a little less guarded view of
the outcome.
Not that the mosaic outcome can't be worse medically than a full trier but
for some reason drs think partial or mosaic means 'will do better'.

Especially when the ultrasound results have very few serious issues raised
(compared to some triers in utero).

More ammunition for you perhaps. Hard to have to think of things that way
isn't it?
Often we aren't kidding when we talk about suiting up in our armor for
battle in the name of our children. :-)
