[tri-med] Prayers, good vibes, wishes needed

Friday is our big day. Logan is having his rectum corrected. They are making
an actual rectum where he doesn't have one. It is a very long and extensive
surgery. They have him booked for 6 hours on the table. It should take
anywhere between 5-10 hours on the table alone. He should be in the hospital
between 5-10 days too. It is called the Pull-through procedure. I am not going
to go into all the details of it because it is complicated. To be honest I am
sticking my head in the sand on this one.

I can't explain it but my gut feeling is to stay away from this. I am not sure
why other then I do not have a good feeling about this. I know I have told so
many of you to trust your gut instincts. I just can't decide if it is me being
over protective or if something telling me this is not for the best. I have
talked with the one medical person from the surgery practice and she reasurred
me to some extent. I am waiting to hear from the Dr that is doing the
procedure. I think that I am worried about infections after the surgery. I
don't know what frightens me the most. Do any of the other children have an
imperforated anus that could advise me? I have a call into Parent to Parent to
speak to someone who has gone through it too. I hope I am just over-reacting.
Tina
