You know it frustrates me to no end. Like we don't have enough to deal
with just with our children but we have to try to continue with our
lives too. It is so hard at times I want to throw the towel in and say
I quit. But we can't do that. So when we hit those rough spots that is
about the time that someone decides that we should be doing more. We
are not doing enough, they could do it so much better. Instead of
saying hey how can we help it is well if you would have done this or
done that it would be better, you wouldn't be in that position. I just
want to say BACK OFF! If you can help then get out of the way.

Yes, I am aognst those ranks.
With Alex I was reported because I was too tired to care for Alex - that
one
was such fun. They had obviously read the text book on T-18 and after
seeing
Alex decided that I was doing OK.
The second time was by his kindergarten teacher - she was such an expert
she
decided that there was absolutely nothing wrong with him and I was
making it
all up.

But like all grief it will rear its ugly head when you least expect it.
It
certainly knocks the stuffing around, especially when you have so much
going
on in your life. But hang in there Tina.......... hang in there. Talk
and
vent all you need, there are definitely those of us who understand, and
many
more who will before their child grows up. I know that the initial
feeling
after being reported is to find a hole and crawl in - The Rock is always
there ( http://www.trisomyonline.org/rock.htm )- just remember to pop
your
head out every now and again otherwise the moss growth becomes
permanent.
"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some
poems
don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and
end.
Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and
making
the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious
ambiguity."
