[tri-med] Re: Philina Update

My stepdad was diabetic, and after reading this I remember that when his
blood sugar got really low and he didn't eat (he would get so involved in
what he was doing he wouldn't pay attention to how he was feeling!), it
would spike extremely high.  I remember thinking that it made no sense, but
as a teenager I just shrugged and went off to crimp my hair or something...

I can tell you that I end up with high fasting blood sugars yet normal a1c's

because insulin can cause a bounce at night basically you can bottom out in 
your sleep and shoot right back up the 2 was to figure it out are to take 
her blood sugar in the middle of the night or lower her dosage and see if 
the fasting blood sugar is closer to normal.
