Fawna,
When Morgan was small and they permanently removed his g-tube the site stayed
kind of open and sometime leaked air. It was like Morgan could "toot" thru his
belly. His dr. said after 6 mos. it should not be open like that and they went
in and surgically close it from the inside. I am not quite understanding why
Philina's would still open up after so much time.
I am sending you very good vibes that you can continue controlling Philina's
blood sugar by diet. Morgan has type 1 diabetes and he is insulin dependent.
Basically, he can eat anything he wants now, but we have to count carbs and
give him insulin to cover whatever he eats or drinks including his glucerna.
Philina's a1c, at 6.0, seemed great to me and 5.9 is killer. Morgan had an a1c
of 6.1 in Sept., which is great considering he has type 1. His a1c at dx was
9.8. Anyway, I would hate, hate, hate for Philina to have diabetes. I don't
wish it on anyone and hope and pray for a cure. That is why we will be walking
the walk in the spring.
You have no right to argue with your Creator. You are
merely a clay pot shaped by a potter.
The clay doesnt ask, Why did
you make me this way? (Isaiah 45:9 CEV).
