[tri-med] Re: Pamela and C-Diff

I don't know if this will help but, c-diff is usually caused by antibiotics
destroying the "good" bacteria in your colon. Increasing the "good" flora in
your daughters colon could help. This is done by eating products with
acidophillis in them. Yogurts are a good source. You can also buy
acidophillus at many health food stores in pills or powder form. Discuss it
with your pediatrician if your not comfortable just doing it. As a RN, I have
had many patients that were helped by this. I give it to my son, Haiden when
he has to take antibiotics.
Take Care and your in my prayers,
Thea, mom to Haiden (T9p), Ava (my newest edition 1/27/07), and wife to Brian
(almost 7 years)

  Hi:
Remember when I wrote how we were back in hospital as Pamela had
diarrehea(C-diff) well we were released 10 days later, nothing had changed
except that her bowels were no longer distended and she wasn't in pain but
still diarrehea and on (flagel) It's almost been 2 months. She is down to 1
movement a day but I heard from the school today that she's complaining loudly
and appears to be crampy. Here we go again. My pediatrician will be in town
tomorrow and he will suggest she goes on vaconmyacin. We pray that will work
because it's one of those antibiotics you give as a last resort. If she becomes
resistant to that we are hooped.
Please keep her in your prayers.
