[tri-med] Re: Paging Michelle Wilson!


Hey Steph, you're not being nosey, just curious. 
Actually, it went well.  She actually gave me the
options I wanted all along, and that is the choice
between the two special schools in my area.  I did not
feel comfortable sending Faren to a public school
program, and at this point, that is not even an
option.  There probably isn't a program for a soon to
be 3 yr old infant in a nearby public school anyway. 
We talked about therapy, feeding, naps, assertive
teaching(I've picked up some info from the list of
course and don't want Faren to just go to a
babysitting service).  All in all, I need to go to
both the schools, talk to the teachers and see what
there facilities are like.  I am actually partial to
one of the schools because another T18(Katlynn Wilson,
4 yrs old) girl I know goes there.  But I just need to
check them out.  I don't know what kind of programs
they will offer Nicky because he is much more able
than Faren.  But don't be scared.  I felt like the
woman who came to our house was on our side, and if
that's not the feeling you get for Nicky's meeting,
make sure you put the coordinator in his/her place : )
