[tri-med] Re: Our baby boy,,

Jeff and family,

My heart and love reach out to you and your family during this emotional
time. I remember the overwhelming feelings of love, protection, hope and
anxiety that formed whilst we learned more about our sons Full Trisomy 13
diagnosis at 15 weeks gestation. You are not alone. Regardless of what any
physician says, this happens frequently in our populated society.

Our sons life has always been more than just about him. It's about those
who can benefit from what we learned. All the way through, Gods grace
surrounded us in extraordinary ways. Our sons story discusses issues we
faced in navigating a negative prenatal diagnosis and we have many "lessons
learned" we would love to share with parents who have similar struggles. I
offer any support I am able to give. Life is truly beautiful when its not
taken for granted.

I offer you my time in helping to develop a plan for your littlest one or to
answer any questions with a real voice and not just via e-mail. If you are
local to the US, I can call you or you can call me. Some of our story is
available on our site: http://gregoryarritola.tripod.com

With Peace and Hope,

Hello,

I am new to this and I hope I am on the correct topic. My wife and I have
found out recently that our baby boy has Trisomy 13. We are around 22 weeks
and I think we have know about for 3 weeks. I am happy to see that there is
a place to discuss and peole to relate to with this situation.

We are recieving a lot of support form my wife's (Kim) side of the family
and no support what so ever from my side of the family. They are wanting us
to terminate the pregnancy, but we can't and will not do it. We want to
spend every little second we can, no matter how short it may be with our
son.

We are devestated by the news, but we are praying every day and we have a
wonderfull group of personal friends, co-workers and fellow church members
praying with and for us during this difficult time.

I look forward to reading different posts and getting more information on
Trisomy 13. Thanks once more for this wonderfull list and website.
