Jeff, Welcome to the list. Congratulations on the expectations of your son. I am so sorry that his diagnosis overshadows that excitement tho. We also had a prenatal diagnosis and know how difficult this stretch of life will be for your family. Such a mixed bag of emotions.... I hope that your side of the family will be open to learning more about Trisomy 13. Perhaps their views will change through education. As everyone here will tell you, no matter what the length of your sons life.....he has already forever changed your outlook on life itself. Wishing you all the best. Hope you'll feel comfortable venting your hopes & fears here.
