We are receiving a lot of support form my wife's (Kim) side of the family
and no support what so ever from my side of the family. They are wanting us
to terminate the pregnancy, but we can't and will not do it. We want to
spend every little second we can, no matter how short it may be with our
son.
Dear Jeff & Kim,
Firstly let me say welcome and I am glad you found us but sorry you have
reason to be here. I want to say you are very brave it is not an easy thing
to deal with when you are told that your baby will be born different. And
it is even more so when you know that half your family doesn't support your
decision (I pray that they will come to realise that it is them that will be
missing out on some very beautiful time with you and their grandson, nephew
& cousin) I think sometimes people think that termination is the easy way
out that you won't have to suffer (and I am not making judgements against
those that have chosen to terminate in any way that in itself is a very hard
decision) but I do think that sometimes people think that by terminating
they will somehow avoid the heartache...... I really don't believe that is
true. I pray that your faithfulness will be rewarded and that you will
enjoy some quality time with your precious son. I look forward to hearing
all about him.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end tomorrow it's already tomorrow
