Hello Jeff,
I am sorry for the fact that you needed to look for this site but glad that
you found it. Have you checked out www.livingwithtrisomy13.org[1] ? That
siteoffers a lot of support as well.
We were in your exact place almost 2 years ago and I can relate completely
towhat you are going through. Before our daughter was diagnosed via
ultrasound (tri13 or 18) we knew there was a chance of genetic issues. We
researched all the possibilities and when we came upon these disorders we
coudn't imagine why anyone would carry on with a pregancy with no hope.
However, when we found out our daughter, Annie had one of these disorders,
itwas immediately different. WE wanted to provide her with as much life as
possible. Whether it was hours, days, weeks or years. We were so fortunate
tohave Annie for 80 days.
This is a great site for resources and questions. Feel free to email me
offline if you like. I wish you all the best and am so glad that you have a
network of support for your family.

Hello,
I am new to this and I hope I am on the correct topic. My wife and I have
found out recently that our baby boy has Trisomy 13. We are around 22 weeks
and I think we have know about for 3 weeks. I am happy to see that there is
aplace to discuss and peole to relate to with this situation.
We are recieving a lot of support form my wife's (Kim) side of the family
and no support what so ever from my side of the family. They are wanting us
to terminate the pregnancy, but we can't and will not do it. We want to
spendevery little second we can, no matter how short it may be with our son.
We are devestated by the news, but we are praying every day and we have a
wonderfull group of personal friends, co-workers and fellow church members
praying with and for us during this difficult time.
I look forward to reading different posts and getting more information on
Trisomy 13. Thanks once more for this wonderfull list and website.
Jeff K.
