[tri-med] Re: Our baby

Samantha, that was the song and dance our first OB tried on us when he
informed us of Anna's diagnosis. However, we moved during the pregnancy,
found a wonderful neonatologist through the local Right to Life office and
our wants and desires regarding Anna were met by the medical community where
we lived. Anna only lived 3 months, and did not have any surgeries, but I
was never told "Well, we won't do anything for her because she's not worth
it."

I highly recommend contacting your local Right to Life office for names of
doctors who share your desire to give your baby the best chance they may
have.

Anna was very small, weighed only 4lbs 6 oz when she was born 10 days past
my due date. However, I did feel her move. I had one scare one morning when
I hadn't felt her move in a long time, about two weeks before my due date,
but everything was fine.

Keep those questions coming. You'll find that you are not alone.

Take care.
Ceci, mom to angel Anna, T-18, 9/22/98 - 12/13/98, Maria, age 23 and on her
own, Joe, 12 years old and wife to John.

Thank you all for your words. That was silly of me to ask if anyone had the
same exact situation...I should know better that no two situations are
alike! haha I guess I am just so overwhelmed with emotions and thoughts I
just don't know which way is up.
I am hoping that maybe some of the findings aren't as bad as they say,
etc.
  I do have two questions:
  1. Is it true that if a child is born with a trisomy that the drs won't do
surgeries?
  2. For the moms...did you feel your babies moving a lot or not much at
all?
Thank you again for all your support
  :) Samantha
