[tri-med] Re: Nissen??

Hi from another lurker, not by choice, but by lack of time!
Elanor has had her g-tube and fundo since she was eleven months old.
Poor baby had an ng-tube the whole time before that, and we love the
g-tube. She has never been able to take much orally, and not hates
anything but her fingers in her mouth, so it was a must for us. She was
on raglan before the fundo to reduce any reflux, but it never really did
much no matter how high a dose they tried. She now spits up if she is
overfed or gets sick, and she still gags sometimes, but it is nothing
like when she had the ng-tube. My personal opinion is that having the
tube down her throat for 11 months made her gag reflex very sensitive,
and it is slowly becoming less sensitive now. Scar tissue maybe?
Anyway, we have had a great experience with the fundo and the g-tube, so
much so that I really feel uneducated about the whole thing because it
is just something I haven't had to worry about at all, so I haven't
really done a lot of research or looking into anything about drawbacks
or anything(wow, what a run-on sentence that was!). Hope things go well
whatever happens!

Oh, can I have a picture too? And we will be getting pics taken this
month if anyone wants to see Elanor's Christmas pictures!
