Hi Rory :o)
My name is Penny and my husband Joe and I have 2 very studly sons :o)
Nicholas, who's 10 1/2 yrs and Devon who will be 6 years old next month!
Devon has Full T13 w/balanced translocation 5 and 13. I think that most of
us were given a very poor prognosis...we were told to take Devon home and
enjoy him...that he most likely would not survive his first birthday...and
here we are approaching #6 :o) I don't know what the future holds for you
and your baby....but whatever time you're given will be a precious gift...no
matter how long you have with her :o)
I'm sorry you have reason to be here....but please feel welcome here :o)
We're all kind of a really big family...although sometimes we're somewhat
dysfunctional (I say that with affection)...we laugh together...we pick on
each other and raz each other...we cry together....we learn from each other
and draw on each other's experiences :O)
I don't have any experience to offer with regard to your Caris' health
issues...but I can offer you support and prayers :o)
Love,
Penny...devoted wife to Joe and "Mom" to Nick (10 yrs...lover of Pokemon,
Legos, Pizza and chocolate icecream) and "Mommy" to Devon (AKA-Stinky
Boy...Lover of Bear, Stuart Little, Barney, Blue, Rolie Polie Olie, Pooh and
Co. and food in general, 5 1/2 years old!!! Full Trisomy 13 w/balanced
translocation 5 and 13)...Brat and KC (the feline children)
