[tri-med] Re: New to the group/Bard button valve leaking intermittently

I looked at Vera's blog.  If there is room to put so much gauze under the 
button, does that mean that the button is too long?  Annette's button still has 
all the red bloody granulation tissue around the stoma and she's had her button 
since she was one month old!!!  We have seen GI surgeons and GI doctors and no 
one does anything.  They all say that all buttons bleed.  I started doubling up 
on the 2x2's when someone from the list told me to try it.  It has worked but 
occasionally she still gets the bloody stoma.  I think it might be from her 
Benik.  Unfortunately, she can't stop wearing her Benik because of the 
scoliosis.  I haven't tried the antacid powder.  I think I'll try that next.
